Edinburgh City Centre Chaplain Commissioning

On Saturday 28th May, Sally the Edinburgh City Centre Chaplain was commissioned as part of the 50th Anniversary of the start of work place chaplaincy in the city centre.

Sally is the newest addition to a long line of pioneering chaplains in the heart of our nations capital city - following on from such notable chaplains as Rev Mary Levinson who campaigned for womens ordination in the Church of Scotland, and found her first ministry as chaplain in the city centre.

The celebration brought many people from across the history of chaplaincy in the city centre together - one person described the atmosphere as a 'family gathering' - as people shared stories of this ministry in the city centre.

WPCS thanks the Together Churches Trust for inviting WPCS to be part of this event and for all their support for Sally and the ministry she does in the city centre.
