SFRS and WPCS Chaplain Visit Chamelon Community Centre

FAA862A0 51AD 4B6C 9D38 7DBAFD9120B4Last month, WPCS Chaplain, Susan Marshall, (second right in photo) and other groups from the local Camelon community, including from Falkirk Vineyard Church, attended a successful CPR training event at Camelon Community Centre, led by Red Watch from Larbert community fire station.  All attendees benefitted from the demonstration. There was an excellent turnout.

Unfortunately, the Watch had a call-out midway through, but Susan was able to jump in and take over the CPR training with everyone as Red Watch had left the equipment with her. Thankfully, she had already been taken through both CPR and Defibrillator instruction by Red Watch earlier in December.

The team returned are now asking to work with us to get the community to sign up for ‘home safety checks.  Susan commented that when our best laid plans go off schedule, it’s always good to be able to adapt and to rise to the challenge as needed.
