Dumbarton and Vale of Leven event

We had an encouraging turnout at our Introduction Evening in Dumbarton on Tuesday (February 7).

Warm thanks to Lennox Church in the town for enabling us to hold the event, which ran from 6 pm until 9.30 pm and was covered in the local paper - the Dumbarton and Vale of Leven Reporter - and on local radio.

Led by Regional Organiser for the West of Scotland Jack Quinn and our Glasgow Chaplaincy Team Leader Cate Adams, some 14 people were offered an interactive taste of what it means to be a workplace chaplain.

Demand for workplace chaplaincy is growing all the time and our team of 100-plus trained staff and volunteers supports 2000 businesses, local authorities, Royal Mail and the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service across Scotland. But the same number again could easily be placed.

Our next Introduction Evenings are in Inverness on March 13 (see story  below: ‘Come and say hello’) and If you can't get to Inverness, there will be another opportunity to meet our chaplains - in Dundee this time - on March 16, in Dundee West Church, 132 Perth Road, Dundee, from 7 pm until 9 pm.

To find out more about volunteering please email info@wpcscotland.co.uk or contact any of  our Regional Organisers via the email addresses and phone numbers on the ‘Contact Us’ page of this website.
